Who it is for
Agent labs and enterprise platform teams that need training and regression environments for tool-using agents but cannot expose production systems.
Why now
This window showed environment supply becoming a learnable capability rather than a hand-crafted art: 4,783 executable environments were synthesized from business scenario descriptions and fine-tuning on construction traces raised authoring success from 3.3% to 83.3%; a schema-only pipeline generated graded multi-turn scenarios from MCP specifications with no live endpoint and identified parameter-schema complexity rather than suite size as the quality correlate; terminal-agent RL trained inside a cloud sandbox rewarded by each task's own verifier over 300+ turns; and a benchmark constructed 802 deterministic harness streams as the substrate. A year ago synthetic environments were bespoke per task; now they are generated, measured and reused.
What would kill it
Independent evaluation showing agents trained in synthetic worlds transfer to real desktops, enterprise tools or embedded targets no better than real-data baselines, or that verifier-grounded worlds encode the verifier rather than the task.
